Greg Smith is a Western-Washington native. Growing up, his family had two different pipe organs installed in their home: first a 2/5 Wurlitzer, then a
3/8 Leathurby-Smith. The Wurlitzer was eventually sold to Russ & Jo Ann Evans. Greg still owns the Smith organ which he plans to re-install some day.
Greg studied with Bob Rank and Dick Schrum, and was a regular organist for many years at both the
Bellevue and Seattle/Greenwood Pizza & Pipes restaurants before they closed. More recently he was
resident organist at Silverwood Theme Park near Cour d'Alene Idaho where he accompanied a twice-daily ice show. |
