Back to the Montana Original Theatre Installations page

According to the Walton opus list, the Liberty Theatre Style 135B Wurlitzer (opus #277) was originally installed in 1920 in Portland's Hippodrome (Fox) Theatre. In 1928, the organ was repossessed by the Wurlitzer company and installed in the Billings Liberty Theatre. The instrument has since been disbursed for parts with the console going to Rob Richards of Mesa, Arizona and then to Ron Kemper of Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1986.

In 1934, the name was changed to the Rio Theatre.
