Organ installation timeframe: 1941

Back to the Northwest Theatre Organ History: Residences page

The Dyer residence Wurlitzer was originally installed in the Paramount (Liberty) Theatre in Kelso, Washington. It was shipped from the factory in November 1922 as opus #607, a 2/4 Style B.

In 1941, the instrument was moved to Seattle. Interestingly, the Balcom & Vaughan opus list includes entries for two residences having this same instrument in the year 1941: Bob Dyer residence and Donald Drew residence. It is not known for certain which was first, although more records suggest that is was Mr. Dyer.

The organ was later sold to Don Lewis of Seattle. Its current status is unknown.
