The Rex Theatre opened on December 20, 1913.

According to the PSTOS Bill Bunch/Eugene Nye records, the Rex Theatre originally had a 2/12 Karn & Warren organ, install date unspecified.

The OHS Pipe Organ Database has an entry for a Karn-Morris organ at Vancouver's "Dewees Theatre" in 1913. Since the Rex opened in 1913 and W. P. Dewees was manager/owner, it's possible the OHS entry was actually for the Rex Theatre but this has not been verified. Current status is unknown.
