Deagan Marimba (c.1920s) $750. Back to the Items for Sale main page   The unit is a Deagan 49 note instrument with metal resonators arranged in two rows (24/25). It is from the theatre-organ era and is (A-435). The action is an external pneumatic-type in original condition. It will understandably need a complete rebuild. Several of the hammer arms are broken but they are all there.   |

The unit will also need end panels to mount the instrument and action. These were missing when I got it. The bar surfaces have some scratches and will need to be refinished. In spite of these items, the unit is complete and rebuildable. I helped a friend successfully re-tune a similar instrument to A-440 without difficulty.   The bars are 15/16" thick. The largest is 2-1/2" wide and 18-3/8" long. The shortest is 2" wide and 7-7/8" long |
